Unsere Medien ermöglichen uns, viel über Lebensgewohnheiten, Kultur und Religionen der Menschen anderer Länder zu erfahren. Dabei gewinnt die traditionelle Volksmusik immer mehr an Bedeutung. Wie reich und vielseitig Volks- und Kinderlieder sein können, präsentiert Peter Korbel hier auf seiner neuen CD. Peter Korbels Werk Lejos me voy de aquí, nach dem auch diese CD benannt ist, steht im Zentrum des Albums und besteht aus Volks- und Kinderliedern aus aller Welt. Bei der Entstehung der Komposition stellte sich heraus, dass viele arabische Melodien ähnliches Tonmaterial haben wie die aus Israel und Teilen Asiens. Musiker dieser Länder könnten doch ohne Probleme zusammen musizieren. Daher stellt sich die Frage, wenn etwas musikalisch umsetzbar ist, warum wäre das nicht auch weltpolitisch möglich? Deshalb trägt Lejos me voy de aqui den hoffnungsvollen Untertitel A Piece For Peace. Auch weiteren traditionellen Melodien verleiht Peter Korbel einen persönlichen Touch und gibt ihnen eine neue Form. So erinnern zum Beispiel im Lied Los Pollos die Introduktion und die Coda an einen Hühnerstall, oder das griechische Lied Du kommst nicht vorbei, Maria, wird im neuen Arrangement zu einem kleinen Konzertstück. Auch die romantische Seite Peter Korbels kommt nicht zu kurz wie sich in dem Lied Weißt Du, wie viel Sternlein stehen mit seinem Tremolo im Mittelteil zeigt. During this process, traditional folk music is becoming ever more important. On his new CD, Peter Korbel shows how rich and variegated folksongs and children's songs can be. Peter Korbel's work Lejos me voy de aqui, after which this CD is named, is at the centre of this album, which consists of folksongs and children's songs from all over the world. During the composition of this song, it became clear that many Arab melodies have similar tonal material to those from Israel and parts of Asia. Musicians from these countries could play together without any problem at all. Thus the following question is raised: if something can be realised in music, why wouldn't it be possible in the area of world politics? For this reason, Lejos me voy de aqui bears the hopeful subtitle A Piece For Peace. Peter Korbel also lends a personal touch to other traditional melodies and gives them a new form. For example, the introduction and coda in the song Los Pollos remind the listener of a chicken coop, and the Greek song Du kommst nicht vorbei, Maria becomes a small concert piece in a new arrangement. One can also hear Peter Korbel's romantic side, as shown in the song Weißt Du, wie viel Sternlein stehen with its tremolo in the middle section.
