Hvoslef has com-posed a wandering bass line which goes through the whole piece. The descant part and the trumpet eventually merge into a rhythmically intense drive and an effective ending.
The piece was premiered at BrassWind 2010. Perpetuum Trompetuum was written for Erlend Aagaard-Nilsen in 2009. |
