Es wird hinterfragt, welche musikalischen und künstlerischen Kompetenzen für Musiklehrer von Bedeutung sind und welche Ziele in Bezug auf die Entwicklung von künstlerischer Fertigkeit bei Schülern überhaupt angestrebt werden können. Darüber hinaus werden künstlerische und musikalische Entwicklungswege in der Ausbildung von Musiklehrern beleuchtet. Mit den breit gefächerten Beiträgen über künstlerische Aspekte in der Musikerziehung eröffnet European Perspectives on Music Education, Volume 2. Artistry can be regarded as one of the core aspects of music education. It is important, however, to realise that the concept of artistry has to be observed in many different contexts. In this book artistry is not only related to performance of high art, it also refers to all kinds of musical activities in school related situations. The book focusses on three main areas: the concept of artistry, pupils’ artistry and the artistry of music teachers. European Perspectives on Music Education, Volume 2, presents teachers, students, researchers and all those interested in music education with reflections on the artistic aspects of music education. It addresses issues like pupils’ artistry, teachers’ competencies, creativity and craftsmanship.
