Als Hommage an Edwin Franko Goldman lässt der Marsch im Trio auch das Publikum singen und mitpfeifen. Der Komponist hat auch eine Stimme für die Hupe des Trucks vorgesehen – wenn diese während der Aufführung gespielt wird, veranlasst sie das Publikum zu einer interessanten Reaktion! Als Blasorchesterwerk für Marsch- und Konzertsituationen wird »To the Max« für viele Jahre ein Standardwerk im Repertoire werden! Written for the American Band College and their annual summer parade performance while riding on a truck, 'To The Max' is a traditional march with modern twists. In homage to Edwin Franko Goldman, the march includes the audience singing and whistling during the trio. The composer even scored a part for the truck's air horn for performance during the parade that prompts a most interesting visual response from the audience! Written for community bands worldwide in both parade and concert settings, 'To The Max' will be a standard in the concert repertoire for many years to come!
